Follow the Pooch

This dress is a little deceiving but I'm starting to get a little pooch, I wouldn't call it a bump just yet...

This time next week we find out the sex of the Lil' Johnson and let me tell you I'm dying to know! Next Wednesday can't come soon enough because let's be honest that's when the REAL shopping begins. Everyone has been saying its a girl, even Danny had two dreams with a little dark haired girl. However just this past weekend I had a dream about a big headed boy. I wasn't all that concerned about the sex of the baby in the dream, I was more worried that the baby was already here and the nursery wasn't complete. Guess that means once we find next Wednesday I will be heading to the local Home Depot to pick out paint colors...

From Apples to Avocados

All of the baby sites are always using fruits and veggies to give you a size comparison of the baby's growth. It's been a lime and lemon, even a fig. This past week the baby was an avocado. This makes me smile as even before I was pregnant I love to put avocado on everything. I wonder if the baby will like avocados as much as I do.

How Many Are Too Many?

2nd Trimester

I've been truly blessed with the easiest 1st trimester ever. Hope number 2 is just as awesome.

BIG Day

Saw the little one again today. It's getting so BIG compared to the last ultrasound.

I also shared the exciting news with my boss and co-workers. Exciting day!

Whole Lotta Nothing

Last week, we were in New Smyrna for a week off at the beach. We laid around, ate lots of seafood and junk food, hung out with family, read some books and didn't do a whole lot. It was pretty relaxing. When I was getting ready for work today it hit me: weeks like that won’t be happen again – at least not for awhile. No quiet time to just read a book for several hours, no making dinner plans, not having to worry about a single care except if that rain cloud was coming our way.
A 100% dull – but oh so enjoyable – week off.
I know we are in for the best adventure of our lives with the arrival of our little one but I gotta admit that I’m going to miss (just a little bit) doing a whole lotta of nothing …

In other news, I'm still feeling great with not a lot to report. I'm inching my way closer to my second trimester in a few weeks and will start sharing our exciting news with my co-workers.

Gettin' Zitty Wit It

As I’m inching my way closer to my second trimester I’ve noticed some of the following:

No morning sickness - check

Not overly tired (as of yet) - check

No crazy food cravings - check

Acne like a 13yr old boy - check, check and check!

Although I’m happy not to be sick, I thought I left those nasty pimples and breakouts far behind in my teenage years. Thanks a lot hormone surges!

Grapefruit

According to my 'What to Expect When You're Expecting' app , my uterus is the size of a grapefruit this week. And the little bean is growing teeth and producing urine. That means someone is peeing inside of me. That's just weird.

Our First Ultrasound

After having our initial 'confirming the pregnancy' appointment they scheduled us back on June 2nd. Danny was able to come along and was very excited to see our little bean for the first time. I was not as far along as they original thought therefore the baby was pretty small. However we were able to see it's beating heart which was pretty amazing for only being 7 weeks old.

The adventure begins...

After feeling a little strange at a work teambuilding event on Thursday, May 13th I came home and we took a home pregnancy test. And surprise, surprise we were pregnant!
